The RT18 Memorial was established as a way of recognizing an incredible young man who was taken way too soon.  His family needed to do something to celebrate, honour and remember him. This is what Ryan deserved. One complete day dedicated to him, all while giving back to the community where Ryan grew up, in his honour.    Ryan’s family’s “new normal” as people call it might be new, but it is far from normal. Sometimes they smile or laugh, but beneath all of that is something that can’t be imagined, unless it is experienced. This day brings them a little light and a chance to talk about their boy.  If there is one thing they hope is taken from this day that would be for everyone to always cherish your family and friends for it is never known what the next, minute, hour or day can bring.
